Water Corporation deeply saddened by serious incident at Woodman Point Wastewater Treatment Plant

Water Corporation Chief Executive Officer Sue Murphy said she was deeply saddened by the fatal injury to a construction contractor as a result of an incident at the upgrade project at the Woodman Point Wastewater Treatment Plant this morning.

Mrs Murphy expressed her heartfelt sympathy to the contractor’s family and fellow workers.

Mrs Murphy said the Corporation did not have full details of the incident at this time and would cooperate fully with Police and Worksafe who were currently on site in their investigations.
