Water Corporation is advising residents in Two Rocks of possible reduced water pressure from 9pm Monday 30 May to 6am Tuesday 31 May for emergency works to a damaged water tank outlet. Additional work may also be required the following evening.

During works, a water main will be isolated and scheme water supplied via a temporary pipeline.

Water Corporation’s Perth Regional Manager Michael Roberts said while works were timed to reduce customer impact, it was important to notify the community in advance.

“We’ve planned work to occur overnight between 9pm and 6am to limit disruption as much as possible,” Mr Roberts said.

“Water pressure will be restored during peak daytime hours to ensure residents and local businesses in the area can go about their day uninterrupted.”

“We’d like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused, and also thank the community for their patience and understanding while crews complete this important work.”

As water pressure is restored, customers may experience temporary water discolouration due to an increased flow stirring up natural sediment in the water.

The sediment is harmless and the water is safe to use. Discolouration will reduce as water and sediment is dispersed throughout the network.
