Temporary standpipe closure Hyden

Water Corporation advises the Shire of Kondinin’s Alymore Road, Hyden, high flow commercial use standpipe has been temporary closed this morning to help conserve water for other scheme users, including the Hyden town site and surrounds.

This urgent action was necessary due to the high temperatures expected over the next few days and recent higher than normal water use in the Hyden area.

The Shire has informed standpipe users via its SMS service and advises that alternate lower flow standpipes will remain available for use at Alymore Rd (community standpipe) south of Chalk-Hill Road West; Karlgarin Dam and Allen Rocks Road.

Water Corporation will continue to monitor the water supply scheme in the area.   A further update will be provided when the standpipe is reopened.
