Shires of Kulin and Lake Grace

Water Corporation advises all standpipes in Lake Grace and Kulin have now been re-opened.

Water Corporation will continue to monitor water use, and farming businesses should be aware local government standpipes can be temporarily locked again at short notice, in the event when there is a large drawn down on the local drinking water supply scheme.

Notification of standpipe closures will be given via the Shire’s SMS notification system.  If you wish to receive these notifications, please contact your local Shire. An update will also be posted on the Water Corporation’s homepage at www.watercorporation.com.au

We continue to work with the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) and both Shires to identify opportunities for non-scheme dependent sources of water, for contingency and non-drinking purposes, such as stock watering and crop spraying.  People requiring access to water for farming businesses should contact DWER on 1800 780 300 or ruralwater@water.wa.gov.au.

Water Corporation would like to thank standpipe users for their understanding and support during this time.
