Splash of Colour to brighten electrical cabinets and pump station in Yanchep and Mandurah

Water Minister Dave Kelly today celebrated the work of local artists who have brightened three electrical cabinets and a wastewater pump station in Yanchep and Mandurah as part of Water Corporation's Splash of Colour Program.
Mandurah artist Elli Moody and Mullaloo artist Peter Ryan were enlisted to transform each asset into colourful artwork which reflects the importance of water to local communities and ecosystems.
The four unique and eye-catching designs were created with help from students at Mandurah's Dudley Park Primary School and Yanchep Beach Primary School, who participated in workshops to inspire the final designs and learnt how important it is to look after the environment and save water.
Each mural reflects life in the beachside suburbs, with the Mandurah artwork showcasing canals and beach shacks, while the Yanchep design features illustrations of animals found at a nearby golf course.
The Mandurah electrical cabinets are within Rotary Park and along the canal at Darwin Terrace. The Yanchep locations include an electrical cabinet on Foreshore Vista and a large wastewater pump station on St Andrews Drive.
The McGowan Government, through Water Corporation, has supported the Splash of Colour Program since 2017. Fifty-five assets across Western Australia have been painted as part of the program.
