Inspections & tests
We maintain templates for a variety of equipment inspection and test processes, often referred to as Inspection and Test Reports (ITRs).
These are intended to be used by contractors as a base-line guide for:
- Demonstrating the minimum evidence of compliance with our required design standards, construction quality and operational safety requirements, and
- Provision of asset characteristics and performance details on new equipment, for the purposes of registration of the new asset data in our asset management, operations and financial systems.
The templates should be used as a guide to the minimum inspection, testing and asset information required to be delivered for asset handover.
If the contractor wishes to use their own ITRs and ITPs, they must at minimum include the criteria described in the templates for the relevant assets. In this case the ITRs / ITPs will need to be submitted to us for approval before use.
Note: The list of ITRs and ITPs does not cover all possible asset types. Where no ITR / ITP is listed but the contract requires one to be delivered the contractor will need to submit the proposed ITRs / ITPs for approval by us before use.
The templates should be used in conjunction with the Contract Specifications, our Design Standards, Strategic Product Specifications and the Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA) Codes.
