Water Corporation is planning important repair works to a wastewater main under the Mount Henry Bridge from 8 September 2022.

To maintain the safety of our people and the community, a 100m section of the Kwinana Freeway northbound will be closed overnight from 10pm to 4am from 8 – 16 September. Traffic management and a speed reduction will be in place, with vehicles able to move through a single lane.

Bike and footpaths adjacent to the freeway will also have diversions in place.

To manage wastewater flows during repairs, Water Corporation will use tankers to transport wastewater to nearby points in the wastewater network in the Cities of South Perth and Melville. Traffic management will be in place at these locations.

Residents near collection and drop off points may notice an increase in noise, odour and vehicle operations while these activities are being undertaken.

A map of the tanker route can be found below.

Due to the complex nature of the repairs, Water Corporation is expecting the works may take approximately two weeks.

Customers requiring help or assistance can phone Water Corporation’s 24/7 Operations Centre on 13 13 75.

Water Corporation apologises in advance for any inconvenience caused during these essential works, and will minimise any noise and disruption, where possible.
