Discoloured water alert for Joondanna, Mount Hawthorn, North Perth and Mount Lawley - 11-12 March 2022

Customers in Joondanna, Mount Hawthorn, North Perth and Mount Lawley may be experiencing discoloured water following essential valve and pipeline works that has stirred up harmless sediment in the pipes.

The work required directional changes to the water flow in the network causing the sediment to become suspended in the water.

The sediment makes the water look discoloured but is harmless and the water is safe to use.

The temporary discolouration is currently expected to improve by Saturday (12 March) evening, although may be noticeable for longer when the water flow reverts to normal after the valve replacement.
