Through Water Corporation’s Waterwise Schools Program, teachers have been educating students on the water cycle and uses and the need to value, protect and conserve water.

Water Corporation General Manager Customer and Community Group, Catherine Ferrari, thanked the school for supporting the waterwise message.

“Due to the impact of climate change, it’s important the next generation are aware of how precious water is to ensure we have a sustainable water future,” Ms Ferrari said.

“Canning Vale’s commitment to programs on water livability in Perth, and the design of educational videos for the wider community on smart water use are valuable ways of becoming endorsed as a Waterwise School.”

“Thank you to students and teachers at Canning Vale College for your dedication to being endorsed by the program.”

Canning Vale College Principal Paul Bottcher said that as a result of the program the students had become more aware of the value of water in the environment.

“Students have focused on reducing the use of water at CVC by educating staff and students to use the half flush on our toilets,” Mr Bottcher said.
